Well, I agree with most of his reviews though and also his view of the world an the gaming industry.

Yeah but that doesn't mean he has to hate on practically every game ever made. I mean, I understand that GTAIV didn't appeal to him but was MGS4 really that bad?
Nothing i really disagree with there.
Saints Row wouldn't of been my GOTY but i could see how it would be for some people.
The rest seemed pretty spot on as well.

Yea he is def. the most honest and credible journalist reviewing games. That is probably why he is not employeed some multinational Murdoch empire press factory.

He's bashing many high profile games just because they don't appeal to them. He could atleast be a bit more positive. He can bash MGS4 all he wants but I am still considering MGS4 GotY material.

I wouldn't really take what he says at face value. Being hyper critical is his schtick. If you watch his Orange Box review, you'll see why it works better for him than being rather more sincere.
That said, I agree with him that Metal Gear's story is drivel.
And he does like some games. Aside from giving the best of year award to Saints Row 2, he gave positive reviews to No More Heroes, Super Mario Galaxy, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, Portal, Call of Duty 4, and a few others.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Yeah... He's actually pretty easy to understand...
Gameplay is what he cares about more then anything else.
If you don't have good gameplay... you just don't have a shot.
