Of course I also didn't like SMB2 to be in this list, but top 5 games are REALLY bad (imho)...

I would have to say lots of these games weren't made by Nintendo I'd imagine. I would like to see if the were merely published or created by Nintendo, as many games like Mario Party and the such are out sorced development. Just from what I have read though.
id replace super mario bros 2 with mario hoops: 3 on 3.. i hated that game

I personally never noticed SMB2 wasn't like the other Mario games. Then again I was around ten when I played it... =/
I gotta show some love for Wrecking Crew too, that game was great once it clicked, very challenging. And I see the point they were trying to make but SMB2 shouldnt have been on any worst mario game list.
mario 2 was an ok game, but they do say that themselves, the whole reason tis ther is becasue its a bit of an insult to such a high calibre of games to just throw in another game and rebrand it. A bit like elton john and candle in the wind actually...
As for marios Picross, i never played it on an actual GB mono, but i absolutely loved playing it on an emulator, they were way off target saying such a boring game has since stayed in japan, the new DS version is selling very well at this present time. Other than that, a fair list, if a little pointless.

Not quite alpha. They're talking about Mario Tennis for the VIRTUAL BOY! That's right. I owned a virtual boy. And Mario Tennis was by far it's best game. That and Red Alert.Â

So, since SMB2 wasn't a real Mario game, then, does that mean Shy Guys aren't real Mario characters? Since, after all, they originated in SMB2. Same with Birdo.
What I'm saying is get over it. Maybe it wasn't supposed to be a Mario game originally, but it is now. It's part of the series, and it's made its mark. It has heavily influenced the rest of the Mario world. End of story.
