Nippon Ichi's RPG sequel is coming exclusively to PlayStation 3.

Square Enix has announced that Nippon Ichi Software's Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice is to be released across PAL territories on February 20, 2009 exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

Players will return to the twisted world of the Nether Institute, Evil Academy where good is bad and bad is good. Here a good student is somebody that excels in delinquent activities such as skipping classes and not doing their homework, whereas a bad student arrives to school early and does their homework on time.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. commented: "With Disgaea 3, Nippon Ichi have created a wonderful world full of bizarre characters and deep, addictive gameplay. I hope everyone enjoys playing this unique and rewarding title."

If you live a PAL territory, you owe it to yourself to buy this game.

O.o it wasn't out yet?! no wonder I couldn't get my hands on it! I'm contemplating a Day one purchase. "here's a question for all you listeners" since Disgaea3 is being released after jan 1 09 in PAL does this mean we get trophies....?

No, the game itself is almost a year old.

I hope they are not planning to charge full price on it considering amount of us imported copies flying around.

Imported it last year but I applaud SE for doing this for Disgaea (and for Persona 4) in Europe.

Neither Nippon Ichi, nor Atlus have European divisions. KOEI were usually the ones publishing those before.
