two wonderful teams......can't wait to see their new gameS!!
game division being closed my A$$!
woof woof!
i suspect it reduces cost as some management will be fired or something
This is cool, we'll have to see if it makes any difference in game quality.
That's friggin awesome news indeed ^_^ Both companies make a pretty mean game! This is a great idea from every angle as far as I look at it.
From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.
I don't need to cover the merger as it has been above, but i'd like to say that it sounds like sony is still out swining their wallet around to support small independent teams, and maybe even more than before. I think that basically means we have to stop worry and all the doom and gloom people can just stfu. :p
I wonder if this had been planned before crisis hit Sony... The article doesn't talk about downsizing the studios, but merging could be the first step towards that.

This kinda makes sense, the two studios were close physically and shared a similiar portfolio. Merging them not only make economical sense but appears to be a good way to increase effeciency and talents.

Ah, that is a good solution for saving some money and still preserving the studios. I am pleasantly surprised by this
Very good move; albeit an obvious one considering the ties.
I hope they put some input into Hardware 2. Would be nice.
