I'm all for Flanders joining the netherlands, we should rename our country the "lowlands".

But ... Flanders won't leave Wallonia to die. They would need to find a country willing to take them in. As you know Flanders (population 7.2 mj) pumps
12 000 000 000 euro each in year in Wallonia (population 3.5 mj).

That number is estimated to be doubled when taking into account various other routes of money transfers.
Ow and they've received about 7 000 000 000 euro from the eu over the years.

I just hate the fact that after years of pumping crazy amounts of money into the region, they've accomplished next to nothing. 150 000 more people unemployed in wallonia then Flanders, 49.3 % works for the governemnt (39,4 % Flanders)

I don't see another country doing that.

Wallonia should join France. I mean, they prefer the language and from what I experienced, have a very French way of life.

That map does have some anomolies. Texel (the first northern island) is part of the province of Noord-Holland. And Amsterdam is nog the capital of Noord-Holland, Haarlem is.

Still... I wish it happens sometime in the future. Like you said, we'd have a much larger shot at even becoming part of the G8.

What are u talking about. Flamish wanna be independant, not a part of the netherlands... And brussels is not a part of flanders and most of the people who live over there speak french, not flamish ...

Let's see, with Canada's small army and amount spent on military...Maybe we could take over Iceland or Netherlands? Maybe not Netherlands, but definately Iceland.
