Well, I'm glad you asked. 

Simply put, you string up a strong thin cord or something -- this is the line -- and then you put your clothes (or, colloquially, threads) on it.  Then wait for them to dry on said line.  Very simple.

When I saw this thread, having looked at it from the front page, I thought it was general discussion and I was taken aback. Maybe now that they have their own forums, Leagues and such can have a different color too?
