Awesome. See, there can be so much planning put into this and once you put aside the fact that this is pretty sick it can be really fun trying to plan it. Most reasoning is just so funny because you are thinking seriously about bashing skulls of 5 y.o.s.
In terms of sticking to a corner, I see one very good and one very bad. The very good is that you can throw them against the wall which is a new point I never thought of and a very good idea. If you knock a bunch out you can build a wall and it can be advantageous for other reasons you have said.
However, the major negative is that you are trapped in one spot. The wall of kids is good, but at the same time can also be a hindrance that if things go bad you can get really trapped. I like what other people have said in the past in terms of keeping things mobile. If you can use primarily kicking and keep you body moving at all times [5 y.o.s are slower than me] I think you have the ultimate advantage and never get backed into a corner that will screw you.
As for my answer, I am always flip flopping, but I do think the magic number does stand between 20 and 30 for me at least. I am smaller though. For someone of greater kicking ability and more agile that number could go waaay up.
