Killzone 2 demo confirmed for Europe

Will be released via PSN but the date is still to be determined.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has confirmed to VideoGamer.com today that a demo for PS3 exclusive Killzone 2 will arrive on the PlayStation Store in Europe, although the exact date is still to be determined. According to a spokesperson the demo will be released in the "normal manner", presumably removing the possibility of a similar pre-order scheme to that running in the US.

US gamers will be given early access to a Killzone 2 demo by pre-ordering the exclusive PS3 FPS at retailer GameStop - download codes will begin being sent out on February 3. A demo for all those who didn't pre-order at GameStop will be released after the game is released through the PlayStation Store.

This is a bad idea imo.
They should release all demo versions after the games retail release date. no exceptions

yes i agree they should do, but the funny thing is when the demo is released everyone will download it.

im hoping killzone will be a spectacular game, i know from frinds on my psn list when the beta was on, all they ever did was just play the beta and they said it is fantastic.

i cnt wait for killzone 2

I'm sure it's going to be spectacular, but from my experience there's nothing that kills hype like a gimped demo

I'm not saying the demo will be gimped, but more than likely it will be judged by a few folks as being too short, or too limited in scope that will trickle through to the full game somehow and kill sales.

They should wait at least a couple of weeks after WW launch to put out the demo to boost the inevitable post-launch sales slowdown
