Okay this is not for me its for ma buddy!, He get a movie on his computer and wants to watch it on his TV throuch xbox connecting with his pc and he gets an update but he's scared hell get banned if he downloads it, Can you get banned for the update have you guys done it and what should he do, He thanks in advanced.
If you mean that he got the movie from a "source" that is not legal, no.
If you are talking about downloading a program that will change or alter your Xbox OS or firmware that allowed cheating, yes it possible to get banned for this.
If you are talking about the Microsoft update to actually play .avi or other movie formats, no. Microsoft provides the update.
