Forums - Sales - Microsoft: Xbox 360 widens lead over PlayStation 3, 28 Million Sold

I'm surprised no one called me out on my stupid remark yet. How could MS possibly know Sony's shipped numbers? Well they can always estimate of course. Either way the difference won't be a big deal so let's wait and see.

It's not a stupid remark. If anybody besides Sony knows their shipped numbers or has a good estimate of them, it would be Microsoft and Nintendo. They keep very close tabs of each others sales after all.

Seems the site is pretty spot on, (as usual). We shall see if there are any adjustments....hmmmmm.....

So M$ is saying they have at least 8.5 million people paying at least $40 a year.

At least $340,000,000.

Wow over 28 million to date. Nice, and 17 million Live members to boot with at least half of them gold. Largest lead to date with more than 8 million consoles between it and the PS3. Pretty amazing stuff. This holiday was crucial.

They hit these numbers at the end of 2008 as well per Forbes;
