My Sixaxis from launch has seen better days, but I've been putting off buying a new controller because of the ridiculous price of $54.99.  However, Amazon is currently selling it for $39.99 with free Super Saver shipping.  We're not likely to see a price lower than that for awhile so I snapped it up.  Just thought I'd pass that along to the rest of you guys who might have wanted extra controllers, but were put off by the cost.  Don't know how long this price will last.

actually, they have had that price for a few weeks now and have been tempting me, but I have only 1 2-player game. Also you should be buying it through the VGChartz Amazon store to help out the site.

Dammit!  The VGChartz store thing never even occurred to me.  I'll keep that in mind next time.  Quick question...does the Dual Shock use up battery power faster than the Sixaxis because of the rumble?

Thanks. I've been looking to buy a PS3 for several weeks but I wasn't willing to pay $55. $40 very doable.

I know, I've been waiting for sales for ages. Crazy enough, they were all sold out at $55 after Christmas.

too bad i have 3 sixaxis' and 1 ds3. no point in getting another for someone else to enjoy rumble. it is a steal though.
