ok cklmb, what I meant what that with the PS3's supposed better potential for graphics, why would the 360 version end up being better? I realize that one has 60fps and one has 30fps, but why the differential?

because the game was made for the 360 and then ported to the PS3 which seems to be the case for 99% of multiplatforms lately
Edit: k apparently the PS3 isnt a port... it just takes alot longer to make games on the PS3... hence all the delays and multiplatforms that are not to par.

But it's the complete opposite now. The 360 version is as smooth as butter, and the PS3 stutters. So if you get the PS3 version, you are going to have the same bad taste in your mouth that you did when you got NCAA08 for 360. Save yourself the trouble and get the 360 version.

eheh so you baught NCAA08 for the 360 and it stutters and had slowdowns... and now you're going to buy Madden 08 for the PS3 which apparently is reported to also stutter and has slowdowns??

Cause the PS3 version is a port from the 360 version, and the difficulties in working with the Cell processor often result with 360 ports on the PS3 looking worse than the 360 versions.
If you have both a 360 and PS3...there should be no question, the 360 Madden is better.

I thought they said that this year, all the Madden were built ground up. None of them are ports.
Curious, is the wii version 30 or 60fps?
