...a dreamcast troll? Now I've seen everything.
There is no reason to hate on the dreamcast. It was an amazing system way ahead of it's time. It had online built into the system, and developers actually made use of it. A full decade ago it had online better than wii, and it was sure as hell alot better than PS2, Gamecube and Xbox.
It survived less than two years but mostly due to the ridiculous hype around the PS2, and Sega's own financial woes. As a hardware company sega was absolutely crap and had no idea what it was doing.
It's Library in those two years though was friggin incredible, both in ordinary hardcore games, and innovative high concept games, and again with a fantastic library of online games. I don't how many hours I sank into Quake 3, Unreal Tourney, Phantasy star online, Alien Front Online, and Chu Chu rocket, but I can safely say I've spent more time online with my Dreamcast than I have with my PS3.
Was it the greatest system ever? No. But it was by far and away a much much much better system than it's sales would indicate. It wasn't a jaguar or 3DO, it was a top notch game system doomed by unfortunate circumstances.
