Forums - Sony - PS Home needs massive work.

How much does it cost Sony to run and maintain Home? They say it made more money than their download service, but I'm sure their download service uses a lot less bandwidth since millions of people are not all trying to download movies at the same time.

.....................................ITS A BETA! XD

Just kiddin, Its always gonna be a beta since itll always have these updates and announcements that will make people go like wauw *looks forward to it* Seriously though i laughed my ass off when i went to a friend i meeted in home i added Her/he what ever (Had a girl skin). We went to her room and she was like : Do yu laik chocopops? i was like ... sure, how old are you? She said im 9and a half! i was like okay....... then she said are u gonna rape me? I was like WTF my friends sitting next to me one infront of PC as we were downloading max payne and another smsing. We were like ....... then she sat infront of me while i was on the sofa and she sat in a position so her head came between my legs and then she used the emote 'yes' so she nodded with her head... i was like Shit i gotta go XD and died of laughter because i really didnt expect that. Then after i won uncharted i went to the US home and discussed with a few people the game , THAT WAS ACTUALLY SWEET. If alot of games can have these spaces and u can just go and sit and talk to people itll be alot of fun. I usally go and check on a game everytime i win it to see other peoples opinion or if im confused i ask about something, Seriously i love that. Then i bowled with my friends for the rest of the time until the movie was done. I kinda like second life- habbohotel- runescape social stuff. Its fun to meet ppl worldwide :P. One day the homestar will be complete! AND WE WILL LAUNCH A STRIKE AGAINST MICROSOFT HEADQUARTERS!

Sonys calculation :

Deathstar > Alderaan
Home > Microsoft Headquarters

:OOOOOOOO

If we look carefully we understand :

PS3 > X360.

XD naw but yaeh it needs alot of work atm Patience young jedi.

So is Gmail whats ur point? Betas have problems but I think Sony should have held off a bit longer. There are a few things in HOME that Alpah testers should have caught.

Now Playing: Crysis 2

Last Finished: BulletStorm

Online IDs: PSN: computermaximus, XBL: computermaximus

From the time it was announced Home seemed like an attempt to combine the completely outdated avatar based chat-room from the late 90s with a more sterile and static version of Second Life ... In other words, it seemed like a concept that was doomed to be an expensive failure.

Guys this is just the beta, and home is not as bad as you guys make it out to be...

Yeah, it's actually much worse! :-p

Sony let the cart lead the horse on this one.

You don't program a social service for casuals on a $400+ system. You gear that social service to hardcore gamers and later add the casual features as the market expands when your price drops.

Clans, guilds, private message boards, restricted access gathering halls, that's where Sony should have put their effort in Home. Give the hardcore a place to hang out and accomplish something game-related.

I think it can be a full-featured gateway in the future, Sony just got it all backwards to start off. On top of that, it launched way too late, the amount of content is underwhelming, and there's a giant "meh" feeling around the entire project.

When playing around with the service, one ultimately has to ask the question "WTF is the point of this?" and sadly, right now, there's no good answer. I seriously question Sony's competence after watching them blunder through damned near everything from 2005 to present.

www.habbohotel.com

www.runescape.com

those are my favourite games when i was a kid XD atleast RS :D ( Yeah sad huh? ). Most because of the social place where u can meet others from other places talk, do stuff together. Home offers that atm, And ofc needs alot of improvement. So for my expectations home is alot of fun and i got a few friends on PSN that spends ... more time there then gaming Lol.

But yeah next time quote down a bit i was just joking to get away all those replies, It is a beta and it will improve. Then again itll improve constantly --> beta for ever. But Yeah maby alpha testers could have done some stuff bettah.

Neither Chess nor Checkers allows a player to make a move that will lose them a piece. Thus, beating either game is difficult, especially chess.

When they fuck up something that simple, you know that they have problems.

K, I wanted to try bowling, but there were around 300 people in line for around 20 lanes. When you have to wait to play a minigame online, you have a problem.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
