Sony need Spiderman 4 XD

Maybe it is the time for sony to stop losing more money by closing the division.

If it really happen, I will miss it like i miss SEGA Dreamcast.

SONY need another Walkman, Playstation type success in a brand now

Most of Sony's electronics stuff is based in Japan I would think. The gaming division apparently has 1,200 employees there:

I think a company would have to be insane to buy the Playstation 3... If Sony themselves with all their hardware expertise can't get a profit out of it, who else can?

As for buying studios/IPs that's another question of course. I can imagine Microsoft being interested in some of their stuff.

They have probably the best Mp3/Mp4 player in the market with the NWZ-A729.
Even if Sony got into even deeper trouble, surely the japanese Govt. would step in to help one of if not their biggest company

I think SONY should destroy SCEJ then....they have been useless pricks this gen anyway....they have done NOTHING FOR THE PS3.....not ONE THING.

No matter if you like the Playstation or not, it has a very significant name association. And the name alone would be worth millions, even if you didn't want the PS3 in general.

I just don't know if I could get used to a name like the Apple Playstation. That is just damnd weird.

Microsoft will always willing to help sony's crisis by buying its gaming division.

Apple, Philips, Samsung, maybe some Chinese brand. There are enough comapnies that would benefit from a good "all round entertainmant" brandname.

However I think it's unlikely that the Playstation brand will be sold at the low value it is right now, where it used to be worth much more. The sale of studio's and IP's is much more likely. 

If Playstation is sold it wont be the same, it will lack elegance.
I like the way Sony roll with the Cell/Blu-Ray etc.
And you can be sure a PS4 not made by Sony will not be as sexy
