People dont like PS3 because it is very expansive, sony called X360 "Xbox 1,5"

I agree, the PS3 is very expansive. Lots of cheap industry standard expansions like 320 GB harddrives for the same price you buy a 120 GB 360 harddrive, PlayTV, lots of firmware updates and new service being introduced. Not to mention the core hardware features are better, like my Nintendo DS has Wi-Fi, but on the 360 you pay something like 60 Euros for this and the console doesn't even come with online play out of the box...

Do you have an exact quote with regard to your XBox 1.5 comment? Who said this? I can imagine Sony stating the PS3 is far more powerful than the 360, but that's something else.

Ken Kutaragi - "the Xbox 360 is more of an Xbox 1.5 than a next generation console."

I have read the original (translated) Japanese interview and I could not find this quote.

The original source seems to have been Team XBox, not the best source. Luckily it wasn't covered by other websites that much, apart from the usual sensational sites.

check out the ps3 song on youtube, in there it mentions ken kutagari bad mouthing the 360, saying somthing like microsoft aims for the moon and sony aim for the sun, and he's said other things too, the thief.

A quick Google search seems to suggest that the original translation was done by Gamespot and Engadget

Never argue with idiots
They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience

@ Infamy79

The Team XBox article was posted hours before the Engadget article, I haven't found the GameSpot article yet.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

Enlighten us - what does he actually say in the original translation? He's obviously talking about the 360's features in a diminutive manner - or is the whole thing fabricated?

MikeB trolling again? Do you still think the gap between Xbox360 and PS3 will be closed in 5 months? You stated that 2 months ago.

Metacritic is just the average of personal impressions. And to compare average personal impressions through different genres, things will get crazy.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

He suggested a famous journalist made such a comment and he stated the PS3 and 360 are far apart (like a generation apart).

For the long run IMO he is right about this (due to the Cell, default harddrive and Blu-Ray). It's overall an interesting interview, like he points out (like I have) that through the Cell the RSX can generate graphics without even touching GDDR3 memory.

This is of course from a hardware perspective, game engines need to be adapted to show this potential.

@ DirtyP2002

You better quote me, else you're the troll.

So what he actually said is worse than what he is being quoted as saying.  Why all the uproar in his defence if you knew that's what he said?

If the ps3 was selling the same as it is now, but outselling the 360, these doom reports would not be happening. Thats the way i look at it

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

PS3 exclusives are certainley looking good. The difference on multiplatform games is still a problem but it's minor. If the price drops to $199 I'll pick one up but other than that I'll stick with the 360.
