Difference been if they were available PS360 would be capable of running them.

This reminds me of when GTA IV was going to come out and people were saying that the Wii was done for. The day GTA IV is released is the day every Wii in the world stops working.

 

So, what you're saying is that if you put Gears of War or Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Wii, the Wii will suddenly stop working? T_T; You must be a complete idiot to think that. MGS has already been on the GCN.

 

Sure, the graphics won't be 1080p or whatever, but, you can have a great looking game in 480p. (See Mario Galaxy)

It isnt just graphics you know gameplay in said games and lots of others just couldnt be done on the Wii.

I dont begrudge Wii sales fair play I say but as consoles go I am asking should it be  compared to PS360.

Yes but DS and PSP are vying for similar markets would you not agree.

As is PS360.

 

As are the WiiS360.

Pretending that they're trying to appeal to different markets is ignoring the fact that Microsoft pretty obviously (and desperately) wants a piece of Nintendo's pie.

I wasnt pretending anything really just making the point that out of the 3 the only one that is unable to play lots of games is the Wii.

Hence my question is it justifiable to compare the Wii to PS360.

PS3 might be able to handle Mario Kart Wii, but 360 has no tilt control. Niether HD console can handle Wii Sports, and niether HD console has an IR pointer for superior gameplay in shooters, RTS games, or point-and-click adventures. The Wii has tons of games which cannot be effectively played on an HD console.

Yes we do. We just don't talk about them much because nobody tries to cling to the idea that the PSP isn't competing with the DS (it was stated to from the start) and the race isn't at a point where people can pretend the PSP might make a comeback (it never, ever, ever will).

Why wouldn't I compare it? The Wii's price is comparable to the other two consoles on the market (more so to the 360). Wii games are similarly priced to the other two consoles on the market. It's in the same market. If I want to play a video game, I can buy one for the Wii, the 360, or the PS3. Until the Wii is classified as a garden tool, a learning aide, or a sex toy, it's a video game console. Because of that, it will be compared to other video game consoles.
