Forums - Gaming - To hell with this broken PSN, wtf...

im good too, no problems here.

I played Steroid in SSFIIHD last night (got my ass kicked!), and the lag was incredible. I also couldn't log into Home for a couple days last week. Last night, the frame rate was terrible. I figure it's due to everyone being out of school/work. Should be back to normal by Tuesday.

I haven't done much with PSN myself but Updates seem to take FOREVER.

Oh and a friend brought over college football game and it said to update that game, but after like 10 minutes when it was only 5% done of a 20 mb update we were like "to hell with it" and just quit the update and played.

But then like every 5 minutes it woudl pop up for us to update and you had to push "O" to no update. We would do this everytime, but then in the fourth quarter were were nonchalanty playing still and hit "X" when it popped up becuase was trying to pick plays quick and all, and bam quits game without a "are you sure" and goes back to main Playstation menu screen and starts the update.

We quit and didn't play it again, but threw back in guitar hero. Are all games like that, can you turn that stupid update thing off so it never asks you again. Cause if it does that is horrible. And what is with download speeds. I have no trouble with wireless computer/360/wii or any other thing using wireless.

no problem here.

Its probably your internet.

I have exact same problems all the time, I did some reading and looks like the PS3 is not very compatible with some routers, it is annoying

I know the problem usually happen when you have media connection enable. Go to Settings, Network setting, and make sure you disable media connection. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try manual setting your IP address for you PS3 that your router won't assign to another computer.

I'm just saying...

I never had any problems when i was on the psn....

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Might be where you live. If you live far from the servers, your ping times will be horrible.

Had the same problem about a day ago. Couldn't log on with either of my PS3s. Must have been an issue with Sony. Tried again after I got home from work and it signed in fine. Is this the first time you've had a problem like that. If it is, your level of outrage seems a bit out of scale. I could understand if it was crapping out on you every couple of days or something.

Most of the time I don't have trouble. Earlier this week I did get the DNS error twice, but I've been fine since then. I think PSN is a very good service still.
