canada>>>>>>>>russia!!! =D

(my baby lives in canada)

probably the best hockey game Iv ever seen.

You beat me to it.

The game was definetly a nail biter seeing as we were at one point 5.4 seconds away from losing.

As far as entertainment value the canada vs us was a much better game to watch.

go Canada.

next up on the chopping block sweden.

canada is so great, team canada is even greater, who scored the last goal?

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

crappy clip of shootout

@ thread title: Yes, it does.

@Subject (hockey): Slinks away so no one asks me questions about hockey outside of NHLPA'92, NHL '01 and NHL'05 for PS2.

That was exciting to watch. Eberle comes up big. He's had a great tournament so far. Edmonton fans are really going to enjoy him in a few years.

Canada had a poor effort today. I guess the high they had after beating the US made them too overconfident. Their powerplay, which previously had been unstoppable, seemed disjointed, disorganized. I dreaded going on the powerplay, since it looked so horrible.

Russia played very well. Even though they were one of the contenders for Gold, I thought Canada would have an easier time beating them, something to the tune of 3-1 or 4-2. That Goncharov fella is enjoyable to watch. He hits everyone and everything. And on top of all that, he scores. I do have to question Sergei Nemchinov though........why is Nikita Filatov not shooting when you're down 2-0? That was a very strange coaching decision.

99.9% of mistakes don't really matter in the long run, in a hockey game. Either the goalie stops it, the shot goes wide, or the puck hops away. But for that Russian player who iced it when he had space, he's part of that 0.1% of mistakes that cost you the game, possibly a Gold medal.

I'm glad Canada won, even though I have nothing against Russia.
