I was about to say the same thing. The Wii defense force is out and their showing their true colors. God forbid someone plays the games on the Wii and hates them. That just can't be possible. Everybody loves the Wii! It's the greatest system ever made!

You know, he didn't say that there was leveling in Zelda.
Thats just you not reading it right.

 

Also, Metroid is basically a FPS, but it HAS got something extra that a regular fps doesn't.

Actually, you failed to read what he wrote properly. He said that the main difference between Zelda and RPGs is that Zelda doesn't have a levelling system. You obviously mis-read it as him saying Zelda does have a levelling system. Try reading the thread properly before you come wading in, and if the thread's content gets you in such a wound up state then read something else instead, then you won't look like "a punk".

Some of you need to take a chill pill. Instead of bashing him on his opinion, give him examples of some games that he may like(based on his tastes) that are on the Wii.

I can understand where the OP is coming from with his comments.

I got a Wii, I wasn't that impressed by the experience it offered me. Yet again I'm primarilly a PC gamer, so perhaps I just don't 'get' the Nintendo experience. I haven't bought a Wii game in a year because nothing appeals to me and it hasn't been played in 6 months, although Conduit may get a purchase when it comes out and if it's any good.

A lot of people who have responded to this have given the OP a hard time just because he dared to say he didn't like the Wii and the games he tried. One thing - at least Wii fanboys are the same as Sony and MS fanboys in that regard.



I am largely platform agnostic. I fail to understand why some people get overly fanboyish about what is an inanimate piece of electronics that's obsolete even before it's launched, when there are far more important things to champion, such as preventing environmental destruction or preventing millions of people dying unnecessarily from illnesses. This fact however, doesn’t mean I am not someone who doesn’t enjoy gaming as a pastime (as I have done for the last 20 years) or doesn’t have a strong interest in how the market is evolving – hence my presence on this site.

Platforms owned – PC, DS, X-Box 360, PS3, PSP and Wii.

How depressingly true This site does seem to be filling up with idiotic fanboys of all descriptions. The old ones were funny but the recent additions seem to be unpleasant people.

Note to fanboys: If someone says something that differs from your view of the world they are not necessarily lying, trolling or wrong. Perhaps they just have a different opinion that contradicts your own. It's a scary thought I know.
