I was also pleased with the changes made to Kirby. It was tough picking up Ness again, but I guess he'll probably never return to the halcyon days of his N64 domination.

Brawl for fan service though. The game engine is broken. Why did a new developer work on the title? Why the heck did they remove most advanced techniques like "L-canceling" (that was in the original SSB too by the way) or make mostly all the old characters suck ass (I'm looking at you Captain Falcon, Ganondorf, Ness, Marth, etc...)? The fun thing about Melee and the original SSB is that everyone could be good with anybody. Now, the gap between sucky characters and godly characters are so obvious, it's not even funny! Screw this, that's why I still play Melee up to this day. It was such a classic, and it was more technical for a fighting game. I loved that. Now, it's a "Smash" fest, and the winner is always decided by who gets it first. Normal attacks can barely KO anyone now, and relying on "Smash attacks" is just cheap. Oh well...

Pssssshhhhh learn to Brawl.

I've never played Melee, so I'll have to go with Brawl.

And even though the Subspace Emissary was kinda repetitive, I did enjoy it.

I'm going to give it to Brawl just for Ganondorf's new Forward B, especially in mid-air.

You don't get more bad-ass than that without actually giving him his own moveset.

Oh no you didn't! Nobody touches my Ganondorf in Melee, nobody! D:

By the way, why did they make Captain Falcon and Ganondorf, the two best characters in Melee, probably the worse ones in Brawl? Captain Falcon has NO MOVE PRIORITY! That's just bad.

Ganondorf is now a Super Heavy fighter? Wat? What was funny with Ganondorf in Melee is that people used to say "lol, Ganondorf. Let me pick Fox and I'll own ya!" All they remember after saying that is that they lost all their lives while my Ganondorf still had all of them. Good times...!

For something like this, I always think of what Lorelei said concerning Pokemon in Red/Blue.

Brawl would be near-perfect if the on-line worked as well as Mario Kart.
But both games are fun to play.

Brawl all the way. Better balance, online play (really good with the With Friends option) and more importantly it's the one I have the most fun playing.

I actually like that you can survive very long, it's really satisfying to be sent flying at 170% and still make it back to the stage.
