Forums - Nintendo - Smash fans: Which is better Brawl or Melee? Please state Why?

I started this thread because I've seen so many post from Smash fans that either pick Melee over Brawl or Brawl over Melee. I just wanted to know which game do Smash fans prefer and Why?

My preference is Brawl.

-The music is fantastic

-The addition of third party characters were fantastic--Sonic and Snake

-The interactive stages like Shadow Moss Island and others

-The smash attacks--Giga Bowser ftw

-The Subspace Emissary--yeah, I know some people hated this but I liked certain aspects of the single player.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

Brawl, because the engine isn't as easily exploited for ridiculous tournament play, and the character balance is better for newcomers.

I hope that the next one is even friendlier to new players, though, more like the original.

I like the speed and weight of Melee, but everything else is way better on brawl. It feels considerably slower and floatier, but the character balance is 100x better, and there is better variety of levels both competitive and goofy.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Brawl, because it has Sonic.

Brawl.

More everything, and everyone isn't shiek or fox (big plus

Anyway Brawl = Melee + extra's.   In my opinion.

I hate the Super Smash Bros. series, so you can trust me when I say that I am not biased. Brawl is the best game in the series.

This is another one of your joke posts, isn't it?

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

QFT.

Also, I really like the Subspace Emissary thing.

While I agree for the most part, I really didn't like the Subspace Emissary too much; it was kinda boring (apart from the cutscenes).  But yes, Brawl is better than Melee.

@Rol

All right, I'll leave you be.  Alone in your bitterness and hatred.

Well the Subspace emissary was infinitely better than Melee's extremely limited single player affair.
