Improved pacing, improved characterization, a much better English script, and a modicum of actual advertisement would go a long way.

I can understand the pacing thing and to some extent, the better English script thing, but the characterization seems to be pretty good as far as I can tell.  I never played any of the Tales games so I'm not suprised if I'm wrong.

I'd say, for a Tales game, 800k would be BIG. 500k would be decent, 250k would be abyssmal.

If you don't have a 360 go get Symphonia! If you don't have a Wii (Who doesn't?) Get Tales of the Abyss.

800k... well... that's not too hard to do. Your points in the OP match the wanted result then. I thought 1,5mil+ big.

Because I was beating LO when it came out and I just got Persona 4 so I'm busy playing.  If it weren't for Persona 4, I would definitely play ToV.

I own the game. I can go pick up the box right now. I can wave it around!

I also own and have trounced Tales of Symphonia.

Me playing these games doesn't make them any less of a mess. I wish it did!
