I think the next Sony console should be aimed as a pure games machine and not some multi-media system like the PS3 is now.... Before the PS3 was even out, sony was trying to market the PS3 as this 'all in one device'. Most people want a games console for one thing, to play games on. I remember seeing a poster advert when the PS3 first came out and it said, you can watch movies, play MP3, play CDs, play DVDs, surf the web and You Can Also Play Games. You can also play games ? thats what most people want... And don't call it the PlayStation 4 but find another name.

Yes I actually think that is not a bad idea. That way Sony could focus on marketing the console for the games and cut down productioncosts and therby the price for retail (which seems to be PS3´s biggest problem right now.)

Uhh no sony has always had a new format to back their consoles and the ps3 without bluray wouldnt really sell, that is if it was at the same price point
