Yeah, I figured some things should buff its sales more than I expected, so I went slightly on the optimistic side. I might not have went optimistic enough though (considering the facts you just presented). |
I mean its obviously going to drop off a bit, its just a question of how much.

Where did those numbers come from lol
11 million, Halo is no longer considered the end all when it comes to FPS games.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

I have never enjoyed them, but to most people there was nothing on the same lvl as halo until CoD4 changed that.

Some of these predictions are a bit ridiculous (I hate having to say this in every predictions thread). Seriously, 13 or 14 million? Did some people even think these predictions through? If Halo 3 manages to sell about 3 million with PAL and Japan combined, we're talking about 10-11 million in America. San Andreas didn't pull that off, and that was the biggest game of the last generation.
10.5 million lifetime worldwide.

The rest was 11-12M. I don't think this is mainly that people are bad at predicting, but rather that you solely look at the bad predictions.

And now I must quote myself.
"Some of these predictions are a bit ridiculous."
"Did some people even think these predictions through?"
That's all for now.
