What's the best thing about Disgaea that is taking up all your time?

Well the storyline is about 60 hours of awesomeness. Its pretty funny too in a campy, somewhat perverted sort of way. Then after you complete Laharl's (the main character) storyline you can choose to play again as Etna (his partner), who has a completely different story of about the same length. You can customize your team with countless numbers of classes and equipment combinations. And if you're into strategy RPGs, the gameplay is fantastic. It has beautiful animation and virtually no load times, which is almost unheard of on the PSP.

Check out some gameplay on Youtube or something if you're interested. The gameplay to money paid ratio is outstandng.

That does sound pretty awesome, thanks for the description!  Guess I'll have to save some cash up for a PSP.

Or, you could just buy Disgaea for PS2, where it is available as a Greatest Hits title.

For 5 dollars no less. lol!!

You must play Mass Effect.

My best RPG of all-time.
Excellent storyline.
Vibrant mood, fascinating music.
Adult themes, Faith, sexuality, religion, government, racial issues.

A wonderful interactive cinematic experience.

My Gaming Setup

If you try out Suikoden, don't start on IV. It's pretty bad as far as a Suikoden game go and may turn you off on the series. V and III are much better games, V probably morese than III, and both shouldn't be that expensive to buy off ebay or something. Suikoden I probably goes for $30-$50 and II for maybe $50-$100, so it can be expensive getting into this series if you end up liking it. Suikoden I is on PS3's Playstation Newtork as well, but $400 + $6 to buy the game is a lot more than $30-50 off ebay.

The only games I can think of not mentioned so far that I would really recommend (and are playable on either the PS2 or 360) are Grandia and Breath of Fire III for the PS1. I have no idea what they would cost or how hard they would be to find, though. And in case you somehow have means to play on a Dreamcast or Gamecube, Skies of Arcadia is another RPG I've really enjoyed. (infacti'mplayingthatrightnow...)

Pokemon Ranger saves the day again.

Yeah, I had played Breath of Fire 2 a while back, so 3 could be cool.  I'll have to check out Suikoden, though I agree, looking on ebay will probably be better than goin the PS3 route.

If you want a real curve ball, try Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter.  It's quite underrated.

Hates Nomura.
