Lol first I havent realized it was an old thread. The predictions were ridcoulous after comments like "it has to be lucky to sell 30 Mio Consoles" I thought something has to be wrong.

80 Mio LTD is without a doubt realistic. And I think it can be even more depending on the next year I think 2010 will be the year of the PS3.

And if the Ps3 is at 45 Million until 1.1.2011 then it will pass 90 Million or maybe even 100 Million.

Damn! The one who bump the thread still believe that it won't reach 40 million. Damn! This week numbers will possibly put PS3 on the 30 million milestone. Then next week numbers will have 800k to 1 million PS3 sold then the last week numbers of PS3 for 2009 will be 650 to 850k or even higher. We can have a 32 to 33 million by the end of 2009.
2010 is also a great year for the PS3 GT5? The Q1 exclusives like GOW III, Heavy Rain, MAG, WKC? Japan's Q1 exclusives line-up: Yakuza 4, GT5, Ar Tonelico 3, Last Rebellion. The Multi-platform line-up? This generation is very different from last gen. Both PS3 and 360 will reach 50 million easily.

Wel I looked at the prvious years on how much the ps3 sold and it was this
2006:1.2 million
2007:7.4 million
2008:9.5 million
2009:9.9 million(still going)
as you can see its picking up. I predict a 12 million next year Putting it at over 40 million. Though I suspect that 2011 would go down. Only because the gen is comoing to a close by than. The new systems will start coming out

The PS3 is snowballing right now. I say Go Sony. As a former hater of the PS3, I have mended my ways and seen the light of the other side. The PS3 is an incredible system, and absolutely deserves to do well. It will easily hit 40 million.
