They also have the best CG team in the history of videogaming.

This could only be true if they were also producing enough content to match some of the other great developers out there. Unfortunately, they only put out a new game every 4-5 years, if that. And while their quality may be great, their quantity is sorely lacking. There's plenty of other development groups out there that have just as many good games as them, but release their games much more often. I mean, on the flip side, I could say the 'best' developer ever is Armor Project (Developer of Dragon Quest) because they have 'never made a bad game'. But they also only focus on two game series (Dragon Quest and Itadaki Street) and only release games once a year, if that.

I think its fair to say Nintendo is in the running for the best developer out there. Yes, they do a lot more than just develop games. But the games they have developed, so many of them have been ground-braking, pure amazing or purely fun, they kind of outclass most other developers. You may like one developers games the most, but purely looking at Nintendo and adding up all their achievements and 'must have' or 'top quality' games, and you're already going to have a laundry list of titles that hardly any other company can match.
