The PS3's got more native High Def games, and includes one of the best Blu-ray players on the market. The PS3 is hands down the "HD" console. However I agree with the statement that there are many more important factors aside from the resolution. A game in 1080 can still look far worse than a game in 720 :P

i think you have your info messed up.. both ps3 and 360 can output resolution in 1080p
so the are both hd, one isn't"more high def" than the other

i think your trying to compare which one can do better graphics which doesnt really have anything to do with being high definition

I think the term "true HD" is bull shit anyway... I owned a 1080i HD Sony camcorder that has a sticker on the side of it that said "Full HD".  What the hell is that supposed to mean anyway?

So 1080p is "true" HD and 1080i is "full" HD?  Really, so who defines this to be the true definition?  I think it's all a load of BS really.

I'll be honest, whether it be in component, or HDMI, the HD picture looks exactly the same to me... I don't notice a difference.

according to a lot of developers, the main reason ps3 ports suffer isn't because 360 is easier to develop and ps3 is hard. It's the way PS3 was created. Developer that focus on the 360 have up to 512MB ram for videos/graphics while ps3 has a cap of 256MB for video/graphics. That's why PS3 usually have less details/textures and other stuffs.

The true HD machine is the PC and as been for over a decade. I don't belive consoles are powerful enough yet to take advantage of running games at 1080p. And most games in that list are 2D type games that don't push the PS3s power. I know on the 360 most games are upscale via hardware.
