End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
I think Carnival Games will do it by the end of the Gen.

While this may be true and valid, it's worth noting that a big portion of PS2 games have outdated and/or missing data, I know the Wii has some too, but the PS2 has way more cases of those, the example the OP used (Crash Bandicoot) is an example of that.

not the big games, the big games are all in there pretty good. The numbers ioi uses are shipped, so the numbers wont be higher (because once a game is not longer off the streets shipped = sold)

You can believe whatever you want to if it'll make you sleep better at night.

I believe Medal of Honor Frontline was at something like 7 million, but the sales randomly disappeared a while ago. Wiki has it at 2.8 million in the US (not sure as of when), so it seems reasonable.
PS2 Diversity?
1-3 Grand Theft Auto.
4-5 Gran Turismo
6, 10, 11 Final Fantasy
8,9 Need For Speed Series.
Add in Kingdom Hearts and Metal Gear Solid 2
Not an original game on that list. Every single one is a sequel or a spinoff or both (X-2)
4 of them are racing. 3 are GTA. 4 are RPGs (KH is adventure RPG) and 1 is action.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
Double Post :(

Dragon Quest X could make the ist if it gets pushed in the west.
