^- Huhhhh? lol. surely not better then WoW. :D

| shio said: That's BS. PC had easily the best lineup of 2008, it was the ONLY platform to actually have good adventure games, simulation games and strategy games. Not minding the fact that it had far more releases than ALL CONSOLES COMBINED. |
yes what you say is true but you have to look at this from a general consumer standpoint. Which has a better line-up for all crowds that are easy to pic-up and paly without upgrades or anything special.
This is why the PS3 won.

different genres and StarCraft has been around for what.... a decade... and still selling. Figure this, it has outsold WoW in number of copies ages ago. WoW just wins in profit due to the monthly fees.

lets just say its OMFGBBQWTF great |
I've never played it (shame on me), but I'm pretty sure it's like a national sport in Korea. Not to mention it's still popular and still selling today.
Wow, I honestly didn't see that coming. I mean, Gears 2 released this year, I could have sworn that it was going to win this and every GOTY award, based off of hype alone. I agree though, PS3 did have an amazing year.

Blizzard is known for Quality not Quantity.
Every game is a a masterpiece that instantly wins the developer of the year, GOTY awards from basically all publications, and millions of sales.
When it comes to true AAA titles its a war between Blizzard and Valve typically.

Your argument is flawed because the average consumer is more likely to play on PC than a Console, and the games being easy to "pickup and play" is not something that should enter into the equation since one of the advantages PC has is that it allows a more complex and varied gaming.
If you're saying specifically about accessability for consumers, I think you'll agree with me that PC is getting more and more user-friendly than ever, and you don't even need to go to the store to buy PC games anymore. And on the other hand PS360 are becoming very PC-like, a "cheaper" imitation of PCs.

Thats the issue, people want wasy controls not complex. Having two objects to control with more buttons to use the an WiiMote and it becomes difficult for a lot of people till they get used to it after several years of doing it.
