Forums - Microsoft - D-Pad improved with new controllers?

I was playing with the new controller and I noticed the D-Pad had a far stiffer spring than the old one. It seemed to stop the up/down wobble when you move it left/right for example. Don't have much time.

Has anyone else noticed this?

That's what I actually want to know too before buying a new one. Are the new controllers easily recognizable from the old ones?

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

what controllers you talking about. Since in microsoft i'm guessing 360.

but that thing pisses me off, so many times does it not go the direction i want. I don't have any games for the 360 so just going through the menu and stuff doing things on the 360 with the controller.

And i find myself so many times getting pissed cause while i am moving right through the menu's it goes up and then i have to push back down and start over at the way left again and scroll to the right again.

You have a 360 with no games for it???

Companies in general rarely get the D-PAD right. Still have the old 360 model, so I can't confirm this report. Great if true.

well, yeah. When I play with my wife's LE Red Controller the buttons in general seem a tad bit more stable and responsive, and ever so slightly less weight. I kinda thought maybe it had to do partially with the fact mine was used a lot more, but maybe not.

ha no i guess i have some sega tennis game, came with so 1.  I don't have any games for the PS3 though.  Mainly use the 360 for Netflix, and the windows media center.  And the PS3 is for blu ray only, again netflix renting blu ray.  No buying.

The only games that interest me for them I can rent and beat easily in the renting time.  These HD games have such short story mode.

yah me .. i notice it when i played street fighter i can do all the movies easily.

Its a new controller that comes with the Xbox 360 60gb Premium.
