The only reason R:FoM got high reviews was because it was a launch title, and no other exclusices were available. IMO R2 improved on everything from R:FoM, the game is MUCH better.
Thank God I'm not the only one who hates this game. The sequel is better, but that's not saying much.
Worst 2 games Insomniac have ever made. They should stick to platformers.
Just wait for Killzone 2.

That's saying a lot right there... really... their Spyro games are some of the best platformers ever made and that's a lofty claim... not to mention R&C series is miles ahead of Res1 which if all they do is improve instead of total rehaul over Res1 then it's no where near being better...

But I don't know if I'm going to care for Killzone 2... really from a visual standpoint it's got a great engine going but the look of the game is not pleasing to me, then I didn't like the story or the voice actors of the first game... as well as a few other quirks about the original... it just doesn't motivate me to want KZ2... too much hype this gen so I'm not going to get into the whole KZ2 is the best FPS eva! band wagon...

It's not like I haven't played the other IG games. I played all Spyro's (even 1 of the PS2 ones (Horrible!)), all R&C games except #2. Spyro's are really fun, but R2 is even more fun. The R&C games are Insomniac's worst (not counting FoM), the games are really over-rated, except for ToD which is the only one I've ever bothered replaying.
R2 FTW!
Of course, this is all just my opinion.

Genji was one of my favourite games on the PS2/PS3 and it was actually one of the reasons I upgraded.
Tease.
Buy Resistance 2.
I played R1, and I was like, what's so special, then I bought R2, and I was like: This is special.
The single player leaves a lot to be desired, I will give you that, but Multi-player and co-op are full of win.
