Objects up close, Gears 2 wins by far.  Objects in the distance...Gears doesn't.

I liked like their comment about how casual games like LBP need good graphics too....

It kinda shows how out of touch they are with what casual really means. LBP is not casual, I guess in their mind anygame that is not murder death kill and has a cute look is casual... LBP is very much a core game.

I agree with their choice. Gears of War 2 is the best looking console game this year.

I would have cried if the sequel to crysis, a game with slightly inferior graphics to crysis, won. I mean, crysis can win in 2007 is all good... but a gimped crysis winning in 2008? what the deuce?

After seeing Gears 2 on a 42 inch samsung full HD tv at my cousins place yesterday at new years i must be honest and say it doesnt even look better then Uncharted Imho o.o i had the idea it kinda beats Uncharted and is a bit equal to MGS4 but from what i still had in mind MGS4 is the best looking game ive seen(Unless Crysis but ive never seen it so i wont even talk about it :p) but seriously though it didnt really stand out to me at all. It wasnt anything extra-ordinary about it.

As for Goty's im better off with IGN XD. Do anyone know when IGN will release their 'Overall' goty's?

^ Thats laughable, The minute the 2nd level starts, it's eye candy heaven. From there it just gets better and better.
