Forums - Nintendo - FF VI DS!?!

Please tell me they are making it! I have never beaten it, I once played it on an emulator up about the phantom train or I forgot when it was, but my pc crashed and I never got back into it.

I have being playing through FF4 for the first time ever on the DS, and I must say it is really good. I was not into rpgs back in the day when these came out (the 5th gen is when I picked them up), it is very interesting to play ff4 and see how many other games really came from 4.

(example, I played Skies of Arcadia Legends 3-4 years ago, I thought the whole moon thing was original to it, but after playing 4 I am like... well suprised)

Again I also would like to have FF5 on the DS, but 6 is a necessity.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

You can get it on the GBA, which will only be a problem if you have a DSi.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I think they might be going in order from 3 to 6. Since 3 and 4 are remade, I guess 5 is next (although I really want FFVI more than anything, it's so amazing).

yea, but I want a ds remake. I will just play the rom instead of buying a port, I would pay 8 but for it on the VC to play it on a larger screen however.

Yeah I saw it for GBA, and a DSmake would be intruiging, but for me I already have the Playstation Rom-port, so it's not really a hot ticket for me. The portability of it would be great, but I don't get much use of my DS now, since I can no longer play it at work. I can, however, read books, so I'm hoping the 100 classic book collection, will be allowed at my job, so I'm getting that.

but at any rate... I would probably wait and get it used.

Oh, I'd buy it, but considering the rate at which the games are coming out there's no ready guarantee that it will actually come out on the DS platform.

We shall see.

Remaking a gorgeous game like Final Fantasy VI into the DS's limited, pointy 3-D graphics is beyond stupid. It'd be a long way from being an actual improvement.

A high-detail 2D remake of FF6 on DS, however, I could live with. That'd be quite interesting, if it were redone in a style akin to PS1 games like Star Ocean 2 or Tales of Eternia.

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

they do not have to remake it into 3d graphics, they could just add some video, voice, and enhance the sprites. I think that would be enough. Kinda like what they are doing with the DQ remakes, they left those in sprite form I believe just enhanced them.

I too prefer the SNES "look" I think it has so much more appeal. That is why the SNES has aged so well, and the N64 and PSX not as much (save a few gems)
