None of the games on that list can compete with the killzone 2 hype trail....or in sales i bet. Thats not to say k2 will be a monster in sales though...
i really hope killzone2 comes out and blows everyone away. if not it will be the laughing stock of this universe.
Killzone 2 still has it's own form of competition - itself. The first game was so horribly bad that it left a sour taste in anyones mouth that played it years ago. I understand from most people's response is the beta is awesome, but they screwed up their first chance and that will effect quite a few sales.
It's just that simple.

Seriously? I'll bet money RE5 outsells KZ 2, especially since it's multiconsole. I'd probably bet on SF4 outselling it as well. KZ2 only has a lot of "hype" because it's been fixated on as the savior of the ps3. The next ps3 exclusive game that's supposed to be good will get a lot of hype too. Not to mention their flat out lie of a trailer years back, trying to get people to think it was in game. (please don't defend it, you know they tried to trick people) Right after that trailer the game already had a ton of controversial hype.

No one that knew wth they were talking about said it was real-time. Way to assume things. Killzone 2 isn't competing with RE5. Hardly anyone plays survival horror anymore, a AAA FPS is going to sell the pants off it.

You are seriously saying the expansion to GTA4 is garbage, and FEAR 2 is also? They are garbage because... they are not exclusive to the PS3? And what do you know about the others?
the only comp killzone 2 has is Resident evil.

OT: When KZ2's biggest competition is an expansion pack on another platform, you know they've got nothing to worry about.

Uh huh. You have to realize, MOST people aren't people like us that browse forums and do lots of research on our video games. Most people will download that trailer and assume that it's in game footage. The video game companies know this, hence, that trailer is essentially a lie when it has no kind of disclaimer at the beginning or the end. If you seriously think otherwise, you're only fooling yourself buddy.

My seeing the preorder box at Best Buy, after reading comments on here how Killzone 2 will have "no competition" earlier, was a motivation for seeing else is due out.

No competition confirmed.
No FPS at all (AKA COD hookers). None of the games you mentioned drive the masses towards multiplayer gaming as a AAA FPS does, and none of them appeals to the COD fanatic as KZ2 will.
