Forums - Sales - Yakuza 3 Japan sales LTD?

I wonder if Sega have any idea about a price cut, especially for a Feb 09 release date for Yakuza 3. At least in Japan I will be shocked if I do not see one for the release of that game, very very shocked.

I'll say 700K... ish

if advertised correctly alot of gta fans might jump to this game.

i am confused didnt that game come out last March or Feb in Japan???? It sold like 200 something or whatever. Was that not Yakuza 3?

That was Kenzan.

Besides, the Yakuza series sells much differently than any other series in Japan. The first two will sell 300-350k in the first two months and double their sales whenever the cheaper edition comes out. Look at Yakuza 1 and 2 sales. It's crazzy man.

I wonder if Kenzan got a big boost, it just recently got cheaper (earlier this month)

RGG3 will sell 5 MILLION COPIES.

The thing to note about Yakuza games by the way.

They have more Legs then almost any game out there when it comes to Japan.

It's one of the few games that sells forever... and where it's lifetime total usually isn't less then double the opening week.

Isn't that suprising?  No really it is.  The games' sales rely just as much on legs as they do on opening week sales.

It is surprising when you look at other games in Japan.

Japan is REALLY frontloaded.  Usually double opening week is lucky.
