Forums - Gaming Discussion - What DON'T you like about the console you own?

Most threads here seem to be devoted to trashing other consoles, what do you think could be improved on your own console?

As a PS3 owner i hate the installs, especially as a person who has a 40GB PS3 and hard drive is full of games that i dont want to remove just to reinstall when I want to play again.  I understand its neccesary due to the slower blue-ray drive but damn....

I also think that the playstation network could do a little better pariculary in the PS1 games it offers as there isnt much of a selection as of now.  I also think that they need to get more current demos up to coincide with the release of games.  There are so many games I have been interested in and would have loved to play a demo before buying.  Only recently did PSN put demos of MGS4 and Warhawk up.  2 games that were released 6 months and over a year before.

Other than those few things I love my console, it treats me well and i try and return the favor!

Hmm, the price of Virtual Console games annoys me. I dont mind paying $15 au for a good WW game, but $15 for a N64 game is too much, I can buy 2nd hand gamecube games for less than that.

And if VC games were cheaper, then it's possible the 512 mb of storage would annoy me

PS3 - The system freezes from time to time, sometimes online is unstable, L2 and R2 triggers on controller.

Xbox360 - scratches my disks even after using a DVD doctor, paying for online gameplay, bad D-pad.

Wii - Lack of graphics and core software, Annoying online, wiimote in general.

Wii - Lack of Digital Video.

Edit: I meant Digital audio. It was early.

PS3: HORRIBLE PSN for Europe when compare to NA and JP and XBL services, annoying mandatory install and the L2 and R2 trigger button design which gives me physical pain when I play racing game like motorstorm and burnout for an extended period of time (holding down R2 to accelerate for 2 hrs = pain pain pain).

360: Pay for XBL gold services, multiple disk games, the white Xbox looks cheap when its put next to my PS3, especially when every other piece of furniture and electronic is black and DPad (Not the controller which is excellent, just the DPad) is really poorly designed.

PS3 - crashes frequently since 2.42, can't compare trophies since 2.50, PSN store has little compelling content, large installs / long load times, gimmicky Six-Axis motion controls + no rumble (without spending $60 for a DS3), long software droughts, newer models have no B/C so I can not sell my PS3 and re-purchase it in the future, inferior multimedia capabilities even when compared to a cheap PC, coated with cheap, easily tarnished / scratched plastic, cost me far too much money

ps3 - too big , crappy psn vs other regions.

never had these crashing issues some are mentioning though.

PS3 - can't private chat while in games..other than that, nothing really.

360 - paying for XBL, too many friends who have 360 that convince me to buy shitty games that I only end up playing for 2 weeks (in layman's terms, too many seemingly good shitty games).

Wii - friend codes is stupid? The controllers? Wii-mote is cool, but for some games (coughtwilightpincesscough) I want the option of not having to use that crap. Internal storage is a joke.

Wii- Horrible online service

360- the RRoD, mine got it on christmas :(

PS3-i don't really have any complaints for my PS3

i've recently bought a x360 (well...actually my fiancee bought me one for my birthday: i love her!) and so far here are my complaints:

1)colour: every piece of electronic in my home theater is black...why only the elite model has to be black?
2)d-pad: almost impossible to play street fighter HD...i'll be forced to get the hori game stick in order to play properly this game (and the upcoming SF IV)
3)i love the fact that you can install games on the HDD and i'm ok with the DVD check...but why in the hell have i got to install those games on the internal 60gig HDD? as long as the DVD check remains mandatory what's wrong with letting users install games on external USB HDD?
