You know if Capcom do this then the PS3 will get a shoddy port, while the 360 will get an updated version with new missions and extra playable characters.

I was interested in this game two years ago .....now not so much but if there was a DR2 coming I would buy this one too just to get to grips with the story .
Also, when a game like Burnout Paradise (including all its updates so far) can take up a measly 3.3 GB, I don't how the size of a game that is 16 months older could scare people away from buying it.
Correct me if I am wrong here, but isn't there more space to move around in on the BP map than on the DR map? Even if Capcom beefed the up the graphics (more polygons and higher res textures), I doubt the game would start taking up more space than Burnout.
Pretty pretty please Capcom
One of the only 360 exclusives I'm absolutely gutted still not to have played. Would be overjoyed if this heads to the PS3... albeit it'd need trophey support :P.
ONce this and Mass Effect are over... I'm pretty much satisfied. Wouldn't mind with some of the 360 RPG's mind you... but er, Last Remnant and Star Ocean hopefully will make there way over.
But er yeah, Go Capcom!

Some guy asks the Capcom dude if he didn't just reveal Dead Rising for the PSN, and he replies:
"Who announced it? Me? I don't think so! :)"
Yes, very rumorrific, but I am willing to believe

Please stop dude.
Granted, Lost Planet was really unimpressive, but I think chances are better now after Capcom has fiddled around with the PS3 hardware. Juts drop the FUD and move along.
Back on topic, I really hope its true, Id love to get it on PSN.

On the other hand, if Sony hadn't released *shoddy* developer tools far too late for most games to launch with the console, Lost Planet would have probably enjoyed a simultaneous launch.
How quickly people forget... Dev tools weren't released until January of 2006 or something like that. You want to blame people for shoddy PS3 ports? Then point your finger squarely at Sony Computer Entertainment... They're the ones who decided to redesign the PS3 less than two years from launch, released dev tools late, and generally, fucked up every third party who tried to release a game early in the life cycle. For crying out loud, there were reports of mid-profile Western developers getting dev tools a little more than six months from launch, written entirely in Japanese. How the fuck is anyone supposed to finish a game with that kind of clusterfuck going on around them?
But, then again, it's easy to blame those "lazy" developers. No need to blame Sony for their multiple blunders since 2004, when they originally planned the PS3 as a dual Cell unit with no GPU...

I doubt I'd be interested in dead rising...but maybe I'd pick it up (if it were available on PSN) just prior to the release of dead rising 2 (if it too were coming to the ps3) otherwise I'll stick well clear of it - I have enough games to play already, and enough games I'm already set to buy.
Hope it turns out to be true though, seems a fair few a quite interested :)
