Forums - Sony - Home getting Criticized for Chat Filter.

Its a pretty universal right in the world to have Freedom of Speech, so freedom of speech should be allowed in virtual worlds too. Let it be Home, WoW, or any other MMORPG out there. I'm all agaist any sort of censorship in video-gaming because it's just a cheap wall to hide behind and pretend there isn't a problem. If people are having a problem with trash-talking in Home, the answer is quite simple. Walk away and ignore the person trash-talking.

Sony owns this world so I think they have the right to block whatever they please.

Pixel Art can be fun.

The chat filters will change and such over time, it's not a huge issue. As of right now sure, they're not forgiving in the least ^^ I'd like that to be a setting.

As far as more trash talkers than xbox live? Psht... not by like a few thousand miles xD The majority of the profanity you'll see on home is just people attempting to say hello :P

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

Any service that offers chat capabilities that also uses any form of a chat filter will ALWAYS UNTIL THE END OF TIME be criticized for their chat filter.

I repeat, ANY service that offers chat capabilities that has a chat filter will be criticized. Find me one single service with a chat filter that hasn't been criticized. Just one..a single service..I'll wait.

They should have adults only uncensored sections, or set the ability to have conversations in personal spaces be uncensored. Or just allow us to create our own clothes and express what we want on there:

LOLOLOL Dogs xD

Well this is what i have to say to that: Fuck shit piss fuck ass fuck shit cunt fuck shit fuck fuck

Actually, the Hello being censored in ****o has since been fixed.

I think Sony wants home a basis for discussion of games and relatated topics and not for discussion of relgion and sexual orientation.

Can't see a problem with that.

Go to your place of worship or your local YMCA for those needs.

Sorry if that offends I hope you get my point though.

So games can't involve religion or sexuality? Not owning a PS3 I don't care about this chat filter at all, but that excuse is just laughable.
