At about 6 o'clock in the morning of boxing day, I smoke a fat joint with my friends and head over to future shop. The store was already packed by the time we got there and most people were pushing and shoving just to get to what they wanted. Things go pretty smooth; One of my friends buys a 42" LCDTV along with a new 360. With the 360 he gets the two bundled games as well as Assassins Creed and Gears of War for 20 dollars a pop. Another friend finally grabs himself a dualshock 3 and wireless USB keyboard.
But me? I'm not getting anything yet. I have my eyes on Little Big Planet. Yes I have already played this game to death with my friends. I have finished the campaign, but there is no way I'm missing out on buying my own copy. Future shop has it for 59.99. I tell myself there is no way I am buying it at that price. Why? I find an HMV flyer saying they have LBP, Gears of War 2 and Prince of Persia for 29.99. By the time we reach HMV, the place has been open for 20 minutes already. Little Big Planet is already sold out. Guy says it took no more than 5 minutes to get rid of their 14 copies. I'm kindof cheesed at this point but it's all good cause I got PoP and UTIII for 40 dollars combined. Four hours and 7 HMV's later, I finally quit. This game is flying of the shelf like hotcakes. My friend couldn't understand because he got his copy of Gears 2 at like the third HMV.
Now I am sitting at home with this blank stare on my face.
