Why do people always compare Wii games to Gamecube games? Lets take a look:

Super Mario Sunshine (Gamecube)

 

Super Mario Galaxy(Wii)

Smash Melee (Gamecube)

Smash Brawl (Wii)

 

And I could go on, but the bottom line is that Wii games don't look that much better then Gamecube games- and so what? Gamecube was a very powerful system for it's time. And it brought us Some awsome games: Metriod Prime, 2 great Zelda games, Resident Evil 4 etc. Every one stop talking trash about Gamecube. It may not have sold as much as PS2 but it was still an awsome system. And the Wii is even better.

And who says Wii is a GC is a insult? only PS360 loyal fans do that. I even call the Wii a pimped GC...

I loved my Gamecube.

I love my Wii even more and it's not even 2 years old.

well the wii kinda do directX 9 shaders 2, just look at the water in galaxy.

my only grip from the wii its the resolution and it's mainly ignore by the third party.

for obvious reasons i may get that it later once cheaper.

Is it just me, or is that first picture of Super Mario Sunshine actually a picture of Brawl

Lol, the first picture is from Brawl.  You are supposed to be able to see Ricco Harbor from there.  Also, Mario's sleeves on his shirt are supposed to be rolled up.  Also, the tree doesn't have any melons on it.  Also, the platform in the background doesn't have a pipe on it.  Every time I look at the picture I find another defect.  Too much SMS...

Edit:  Five more things:  The tree is too short.  It is impossible to get Yoshi in that area.  The tree in that screenshot looks exactly like the one in the Brawl screenshot and so does Mario's model.  Mario is in form he is usually in after his second jump in Brawl.

Okay, I'm done :)
