this is the bottom line do you like your ps3 or not? i have a ps3 and i tell everyone i know they should have one to because i love the games, i love the extras(free online, bluray, music, home) and if you ask me i would tell you to keep it, But its on you if your ps3 is not meeting your standards then get a system that is.

I'd never trade my ps3 in but if your mind is set DS for sure, no other console competes.

This is the essence. I keep my PS3 because I like the media server capabilites, Blu Ray, PS2 BC, and a few of the games that have come out on it and will come out on it. I don't care if games are coming out for the 360 if they are on the PS3. Most of the games that don't come out on PC my perferred platform for those games anyways. Something like FF has to be played ona console IMHO though.

However I would add if you think....scratch that really think the Wii will make you happier go for it. IF your PS3 has BC you can get a nice penny on craigslist for it just hold on and someone willing to pay more for it wil come around. If you can just buy the Wii I would reccommend that though and keep teh PS3.

Just because there is almost 50 millions Wii's sold means PS3 is a bad system?
Just because 360 is beating PS3 in sales TEMPORARILY mostly from the price differences, means what?

 Well to be fair so is The Conduit and KZ2 will have the better prodctuion quality of the two. Crysis is just another FPS with the production standard but still it is just an FPS. However yes the market is flooded with FPSs and so KZ2 has to show its worth to none FPS fans not to be another FPS. So far the game leaves me relatively unimpressed. It would be an FPS game I would get on the PC and I don't like the molasses feeling  dual analog set up on Console. In other words it si a game I will not miss. I will be buying GT5 and renting FF versus XIII(to see if I want to buy it) perhaps even Uncharted 2 if it offers more variety to the good(and fun but a bit repetative) but not great Uncharted.

KZ2 will sell well but it won't be anything like CoD4(from what I have seen of course I played the PC version as well tried it on the PS3 and it was a comparative mess) and most likely stay in the 3 million range. So yes the PS3 rocks.

If you are going to sell it, please, do everyone a favor and don't do it at Gamestop unless they have a sick trade-in deal.

And there is no reason to drop the PS3, you are going to lose way more than you will gain. Just pick up a Wii by itself. They aren't that expensive.

Almost 50 million Wii's sold. They're starting to hit the exclusivity line. The PS3 being blasted by the 360, Wii, and DS during the holiday sales period. I'm falling for all the Wii propaganda I've been fighting against for so long. My PS3 gives me a 80710102 error and refuses to connect to the internet. I haven't been able to play Mario Galaxy or Twilight Princess. Games like Kizuna and some of the other rpgs look like they will be good. They are getting Dragon Warrior X. Can Kingdom Hearts 3 and a Wii remake of FFVII really be that far from announcement as well? I can get FFXIII for my 360.  If there comes a time when I could need a PS3, its price will be lower than what it is now, but I might be able to get a good trade-in value on the PS3 I have now.

 

 

Unbelievable...  You and the wii deserve each other.

Sales should not be the driving force for you to choose a console. Especially the wii, since it is in a different market. The wii exclusivity line? look at the best game of 08... world of goo. (which is cool dont get me wrong)

If you want a wii, then buy one. Sell some games, sell your 360. (where is their 09 lineup or bluray player?)

I am not trying to troll here, but what you said really makes me sick.

 

 

Actually, that part you wrote in between the curves(), is as, or more ignorant than anything he said. I could explain why, but I think it's fairly obvious, so if you don't understand, I suggest a ponderance.

If you can get anywhere near what you paid for you PS3, sell it, and buy it again when the price is fair.

This would be just stupid thign to do, in 2009 PS3 will have one of best gaming years. =)
It was GREAT in 2008, it will be even better in 2009 for PS3:
KillZone 2
Yakuza 3
Heavy Rain
Gran Turismo 5
God of War 3
InFamous
Uncharted 2
Quantum Theory
Final Fantasy XIII
White Knight Chronicles
Demon`s Soul
Final Fantasy XIII:versus
MAG
Agency
Ico 3
Wardevil
EyePet

These are only KNOWN exclusives, there much more to be announced.

And NO, Wii is not hitting exclusive line, 3rd parties still HIGHLY support PS360.

Anyway, do whatever you want, you will still have to buy PS3 later, since it`s only 2 years on the market, and it still atleast 5 years for it to go.
And there are so MANY exclusive PS3 games for 2009, and MUCH more unknown for other 4-5 years.
Unless you are not interested in what PS3 can offer.

In the end only you will regret selling PS3. =)
But, yes, you should get DSi, when it`s possible.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

You don't. As you noticed, I was being just a tad frivolous.

However, I would add that I simply don't understand "KZ2 is not impressive" comments due to the irrefutable fact that it is very impressive. How can its incredible graphics and physics be described as anything other than impressive? It's a visual treat and a showcase of what the PS3 is capable of.
