the only definition of casual game that I can come up with is one in which you can play in short spurts easily, and the controls are relatively simple to learn.

The platforming aspect of LBP has both of these since you only need to learn two buttons and the average level takes 5-10 minutes. I would say that it is, at the least, very well adapted to casual play.

LBP is what would be called a bridge title. it has features which target to both types of gamers.

it falls into the same group as Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero & Rock Band.



LBP is one. Nothing can compere with it.

I am F...ing making a god damn game, with 8 lvl's, with storyline, characters, unlockables, action, puzzling, platforming of course....

There were some levels that were more difficult than others, but none of them were all caps HARD.

Play Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES. THAT game was HARD!

LBP doesn't have any levels that scroll in eight directions which automatically kill you if you fail to keep up. Therefore, it is not HARD. Acing "the Bunker" is as difficult as anything in LBP gets, and that's a cakewalk compared to what developers had us doing in the platformers 20 years ago.

I disagree.  The biggest difficulty difference between LBP and the old-school platformers is the abundance of waypoints giving you 4-8 lives each.  (Being able to immediately try again instead of having to retrace the whole level each time you die undoubtedly makes it WAY easier.)  Therefore, acing levels is much closer to the older difficulty level.  The Bunker is at least as hard to ace as most SMB3 levels normally are (although IIRC there were a few SMB3 levels that were truly gruesome, far beyond anything LBP offers).
