Haha well I've never hyped it. Just recognized it as something big for Japan haha. Never played it so hard to get too hyped from it. However, from what I've seen, I can't say I'm not interested.

This is were you whole point goes down, most of the people (at least here) are hyped because the Wii is getting better support from devs, yes there is people who never played the game, but they look more happy about getting a game that sold well on another platform rather than "yeah, we are stealing it from you", and probably you are confused about the use of the word stealing... |
I said "fanboys"
The way you explain it is how most respectable gamers see it. Fanboys will never buy the game because they never even had interest in it but will go into threads and flame/troll about how they got MH3 from PS3.

Oh yeah, i do get your point. Just saying. I mean FF7 sold heaps more then FF3. Like 6 million more... and JRPGs aren't exactly mass consumption stuff. FF7 sold and was liked by pure will of advertising. I don't think MH3 will get the same 100 million dollar treatment though. |
Probably not, but if Capcom decides to push it in the West, even a $10-$20 million one could do a lot.
Also, Nintendo will likely help give DQX a big push, as they said.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Yeah... hopefully. I wonder if that marketing push was a prearranged stipulation to the game going Wii. Not that there was much reason for it not to go to the Wii.
I'd guess it was part of the deal.

Again, whats the meaning of the word: "steal" ???
this is just the way it works, unfortunately. anti ps3 fanboys were never giving ff13 any praise until it went multiplat.
I haven't heard of the MH series untill I stumbled upon a pretty picture of a dragon and some huge-ass-sword-wielding-human...
then I saw it was for the Wii and got excited
it shows the Wii isn't a gamecube, and it looked like pure fun
THEN I got to know about the MH series more..before Tri I've never before heard of the series...at all
only seen some sales..but wasn't interested..too blown away by the RPGs on the DS

Yeah, he is clearly steering clear of the word your trying to get him to define.
Wii owners didn't steal anything, all they are is innocent users that so happens to get the sequel to Monster Hunter on their console. Capcom choosed the Wii instead of the PS3 probably based on fiancial reasons or again the wealth of Wii owners that are out there.
