Whats the gameplay of MH anyway? is it just the run down hacking and slashing?



end of core gaming days prediction:

 

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

How many PS1 owners played Dragon Quest, Castlevania, or of course Final Fantasy?

Nintendo haters were likely more hyped up to steal those series than they were for the games themselves, but those games still turned out well.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I don't get the logic.

No, I didn't play the originals, I had infact never heard of the series until this generation

But that won't stop me from enjoying it when it releases in Aus

Im not saying its bad to like you MH3 from what youve seen so far but I dont think this game will be for everybody.

I played one for the PSP and I didnt like it BUT its because I felt that it needed to be on console. Such a big game on the PSP with shitty load times and everything else didnt click for me. Now that its coming to the console though Im hyped because thats where I felt I needed to play this series to enjoy it.

Anyways who has actually played a MH games before?

Or you know... people are just happy to have a non gimped version on a system they own vs the PSP.

MH is apparently all about the online... and wasn't popular till it's PSP versions... and only then in Japan.

You and DJmesiter are just tilting at windmills.

The funny thing is... in japan this game is considered at the height of casual gaming.  With a higher girl userbase then anything not Wii or DS.

I did too by the way.  Final Fantasy was the whole reason i bought a PS1. (Hence my being a little bitter at how horrible FF7 and FF8 was.)
