I wouldn't say sony hatred.. unless you are talking about ronster and his "sony stole sega's ideas" crap.

I would say it's more of a deep disapointment. I mean, the psp is a great system, but sony stopped supporting it.. And then sony tries to force feed people a new format with the ps3. Thus royally screwed them, and the customers over when it came to price.

I agree with you Zucas, but kn's thread was full of valid points. I wouldn't say that his opinion is an attack, because he said he'd be waiting for the Wii to come back and put out some big games out. (SMG, Brawl, NMH, etc.)

Way to go Zucas, as always. Nice job. I agree completely. People just want more and more from a company that truly is going all out on us gamers.

I dont hate any console, ok i hate microsoft but not xbox, just microsoft as a company. But i have opinions about all of them. All have good and bads, for Nintendo Wii i dont like the last gen graphics. Some people like it retro..i dont. Also i got really mad with the PS2 ports, the ports of old games and all the crapware it was getting. I got my Wii on day 1, last game i got was wiifit. My sister has it now.

i will never bash it though, but i lost respect for the company for giving SD in a HD world. Of course they made money but none of you die hard fans of the Wii are getting any.

And if they were making things that people didn't love, then there would be no money. People don't keep buying stuff they don't like.

I have been playing Nintendo since 1986 (got mine for christmas after release) and have played every Nintendo system since then, I dont think Nintendo is shafting anyone.

If you want to compair it, the NES had just as much crap/shovelware as the Wii is now recieveing. but that happens with the most popular system of ANY generation of console.

Nintendo took some big risks with the DS/Wii, while they werent technically short on cash, I dont think they could afford to do the things either of the other companies did this gen and make it out unscathed. BUT now with thier coffers filling up, they will probably do alot more in the next generation, even though they are still doing things this gen that are surprising me

the wii disappointed me the moment i realized it couldn't do 1-1 movement. the idea was there but the execution was not.

i basically like 2 nintendo franchises: smash and zelda. ive been too lazy to borrow zelda (as i only like it, not love it) but brawl disappointed the hell out of me. it threw out what made smash special: fast free form fighting (four f's =) with combos. i still play melee because of that disappointment.


nintendo has been a fairly casual developer for a while. they could satisfy mid-core gamers, but not the hardcore who would often have multiple systems anyways so would still love nintendo. this gen they have basically catered to the casual and barely even touched the mid-core. brawl was casuallized and all their other big games were ports or third party games (zelda anyone?).

i honestly believe that if no more heroes was released at a comparable quality on the hd consoles it wouldnt have had so much hype (i havent played it, but im talking about hype). it would have been lost in a sea of games that people wanted more.

 You don't have to like them. But you should respect the company that brought you the Playstation(read gaming history, The modern Day Controller, the last gen controller and the controller from the previous generation. The company that laid the ground work for modern day 3-D games and properly transferred FPS to consoles. By which I mean Nintendo.

You do not have to like their games or their philisophy. You don't have to like the company. You can say you don't like the direction Nintendo is taking and that is fine. Rest assured whatever good ideas Nintendo has this gen will be in the next gen MS/Sony console and designed for your tastes and whether or not you realize it you would have Nintendo to thank. But to say you don't respect the only console company in this biz dedicated to the business of games is a bit arrogant.

I agree with Zucas. To say you think that Wii games suck is fine. To say you prefer the 360/PS3 library is fine...well except I really like the 360 library for what it is  and think the PS3s needs some work(I own one and am speaking from personally opinion which is not to say it sucks) but that is a matter of personal opinion. It shows an ignorance of the industry. Gaming without Nintendo would not be the same today...with the exception of the GC which didn't effect this gen but I guarantee you the Wii will and already has.

But think what you will. At least Nintendo will not be third party any time soon.

The Wii had me much less excited than every other Nintendo console in the past, save the virtual boy. I don't hate Nintendo, but I want to see them reconsider their fans that like Zelda, Starfox, etc. I'll probably re-buy a Wii for DQ10 or MH3. However, I'm not too compelled before that.
