Forums= opinion

This is one of those moments just like if anyone had the audacity to bash the Playstation brand for being worthless or Xlive for being useless in the market. It's the same thing.

And yet they do, but I don't see you coming to their rescue. Seems a little biased to me.

But truthfully, people are going to badmouth every console and every game no matter what. If you like Nintendo the best, you'll notice it more, the same with if your a sony fan or microsoft fan. We all have to deal with it and this thread isn't going to stop it. I'd love it if everyone could live in peace but if that day comes I don't think it will be because somebody made a thread...

Show me an example and I won't hesitate.  I've seen people write articles about the downfall of the playstation brand but not it's worthlessness.  You show it too me and you know what my next article is because you know what kind of person I am.

And you don't know what kind of person I am, because I'm just too lazy to do that. lol

I was just trying to make a point, not really say your biased, that part was a joke, that's why I started a new paragraph and started it "but truthfully". But the fact is that it happens all the time. Trolls saying this company is crap, microsoft sucks, nintendo makes crap games, nintendo hates it's fans, sony is the galactic empire and should be destroyed by some teenagers and an overgrown ferby in a spaceship called the milenium falcon, etc. We all have to hear it and put up with it, because unfortuantely, we can't do anything about it as much as we want to.

Nintendo is a company... nd companies love money. Money > fans

Of course that's a given.  What's your point.  Actually makes the other points silly considering if they wanted our money they would please us because not pleasing us would bring in less money.  I think Ninty understands that business model pretty well.  Which is why they keep releasing products for its loyal fanbase.

it's loyal, or fickle fanbase? I'll go with the latter. I mean, if the wii had failed, more HD console games would have been made, more would succeed, there would be more support.. Whereas now, most companies that aren't nintendo can't sell a non high budget game on a nintendo system, which is currently the market leader. So many game concepts killed off... and Soon, entire game companies will also die out, such as midway, and atari (although, it was a long time coming for them)

And also: I was taking a jab, you know, sayin' they're getting greedy. It's obvious :P

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

It remember it being said that(paraphazing) "One of the biggest strengths of Democracy is that everyone has a say. And one of the biggest weaknesses of Democracy is that everyone has a say." I don't know why.. but this thread made me think about that.

The problem is that people have forgot what an opinion is. To have an opinion, you have to know about the thing you have an opinion about. These days, it's like people think they can have an opinion about something they know absolutly nothing about and have 0 experience with. That's called being ignorant, and that's when you don't actually have an opinion, but just spew uneducated, useless crap.

Yes I've always believed in the idea of everyone can say their opinion but there are always better ones than others.  That's what I call justice haha.  The recognition of what's right and it works for opinions as well.

But this idea that the two of you shar is just another opinion. And that's the messed up thing about opinions. lol There is no defined definition of the boundries or limitations of what a person's opinion might be. You might have an opinion of what an opinion defines, but then my opinion might be different. :P

Yes, there is. If yor opinion is uneducated, it's worthless. With no value. Of no use. It's not hard to understand, and it's not an opinion. You are exactly one of those people that I talked about. Someone who don't know what an opinion actually is.

Attacks and opinions are fine.  Unjustified ones such as playstation brand is ruining the industry aren't.  That's all I'm trying to say if someone wanted it paraphrased.  Glad people are understanding what I'm saying.  I can be pretty lenghty when I write.

Just curious, was kn's "beyond disappointed" thread the inspiration to write this?

You make a good point and that's generally true unless a certain condition is met. If a company believes it can do better by focusing on a different market segment than their traditional segment then there is less incentive to focus on the loyal fanbase. If the other market segment is large enough then there may be no incentive to cater for the traditional market. Does this sound familar?

Clearly some Nintendo fans are unhappy, whilst others remain happy. Both are entitled to their opinion. Nintendo has moved focus towards other market segments and it has proven very successful for them. But naturally with any change there are some people who are alienated - and the success of the Wii is no exception. However, while Nintendo owes their fanbase nothing, their fanbase owes Nintendo nothing and therefore it is quite acceptable for them to voice their annoyance, their frustration and their anger in any reasonable and legal fashion. I think it is a reach to suggest that Nintendo has been unfairly treated thus far.

Well I'd say every company is greedy to a certain extent.  This is why Ninty will continuously milk the Mario and now Wii brand.  But remember they do offer a service, Club Nintendo, that rewards you free gifts for purchasing those items.  I'd say that's a pretty big, ungreedy service for it's consistent userbase.

I often think that instead using "____________ is killing the industry" we should use "_____________ is changing the industry in a fashion I don't approve of." Wishful thinking is fun.
