Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

2008 was the year of the PS3. If Sony can outdo themselves next year, then 09 will be as well.

lol what a terrible article some of those numbers are pretty outdated already. And I love my PS3 but the constant hype machine around this console is NOT helping it. All the people that run around on the internet and and say this game will make the system sell millions! or this is the year of the PS3! No wait NEXT YEAR is! i've owned a ps3 since launch and all i have to say is the hype is actually hurting it from overexposure and sales not following through with the promise. game quality on the ps3 is excellent, but sales are not.

IMO 2008 was already the year of the PS3, 2009 seems even better though.

wow again someone claiming that year 2008 or 2009 or 20xx will be a year of the PS3.

Sales wise every year will be a year of Nintendomination, games wise it's hard to tell since all the consoles have a great 2009 line-up.

It'll outsell them all combined.

Quality-wise.
