The DS is an instructive case: Nintendo has been ramping up production continually since day-one but still aren't quite meeting demand. Nintendo *could* throw money at the problem and ramp up production more quickly but less efficiently and sacrificing some quality, but that doesn't seem very Nintendo.
If the wii is becoming more available, then maybe nintendo finally learned from sony and got their supply chain running smoothly.
I really don't trust itrackr yet. I've called some of the stores that supposedly have Wiis and they told me they were sold out. So it's hard to say how accurate it is.
Currently loving my Wii x2, Xbox 360 Pro & Xbox 360 Arcade, and Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Limited "Cloud Black" 160GB PS3

Has Nintendo released any numbers on VC sales? It's not something I jumped into right away, but now that I have and realize how well it works I can't wait for my favourite games to come out so I can buy them again (sounds like such a sucker move when you actually say it ) Kwaad: A lot of casual gamers I know are well aware that the Wii supports old NES/SNES/Genesis/N64 games, and that's a selling point for a lot of people.
